    This Kookaburra allowed me to get close up during a few days away recently.
    7Dii, 100-400@400mm, 1/50th sec, f7.1, iso400, AV mode HH. Thanks for looking

    Love the details/SH and BG. Close indeed... I like the eye as is (with reflection of light through canopy). TFS

    Nice shot Paul! I like the details and the eye. Personally I like the reflections and would leave them as is. I wish the bird gave a slight head turn towards you though. I would take some room off the top and add to the bottom (if you have the room to do so).

    Generally agree with Aditya's comments. He also needs a bit more room in front of the bill. Yes to more below as you say you have in other shots.

    I agree about more head turn our way, but not much needed. I love the details you got here. Although it turned out fine here, don't be afraid to push the ISO higher for more SS - especially handheld as you did.
