Taken in the Arcata Marsh, California, I wanted to get a Curlew flight shot
but because it is lowland, I could only get sky BG unless I Stood
up which I didn't want to in the marsh.

Great top and underside view of wing, HA and SH. You handled the light angle well. Could go brighter on my monitor. TFS

Hi Dan, love the bird, the wing position and long bill. Exposure looks ok on my monitor. I go back and forth whether the image appears a tad soft. Thank you for sharing.

Nice work catching one in flight. Good flight angle toward you. Exposure looks good to me. In fact, I'm wondering if just a few points of black added to the bird might give it a little zip.

Very nice colours and pose on this bird. I would try sharpening the head area a little, a wee bit soft here.

Nice job getting this one. The light is sure nice. More room behind would be nice. Nice and sharp.

Nice sharp frame of a bird I haven't managed in flight yet. Exposure and details look good, but the combination of very low sun and overhead angle have left you with some distracting shadows. But a great look at the bill and the little
    droop on the end.

Hi Dan. Looks great to me. I really like the colours and wing detail. Most looks sharp to me, although the far wing is a tad soft. I'm especially interested in the D500/500PF combo so will follow your images. Could you comment on the AF tracking ability please?
