    I captured this image at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida. This is one of the four species of swans maintained by the City of Lakeland. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, image captured at 400mm
    1/2500 F/8 Matrix Metering EV +1/3 ISO 1600 Auto 1 WB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2019 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Nice tight portrait of this swan. Detail look nice. The black and red go great with one another.

    Lovely color and detail, spot on for the theme. I do wish he was giving you a bit more of an acknowledging glance, but the view of the red eye in full profile is pretty fantastic!

    I do wish for more room for the comp, but I cannot deny the sharp details, good reds, and wonderful eye.

    Hi Dan, thank you for viewing and commenting. Normally I would have allowed more room around the bird but in this instance I cropped tight because of the the theme.
