I took photos of a Canada Warbler in various poses; of course like all birds he moved around fast, but I tried to aim the focus point on the eye, using the expanded 9 points on my 7DII with the 800mm lens on a tripod. Thanks for any feedback on these as to which ones are stronger.

A very nice view of this eastern species! That said, the subject is super cramped in every frame. You need to loosen your crops so the birds have some room around them. Cropping less will also help minimize the heavy levels of noise in these shots. You could also back off the yellow across the board as they are starting to saturate.

Great that you were able to get some frames of this difficult species. Ditto Dorian's comments. I particularly like the first of the series which has some nice detail, but too large in the frame (as I have commented before), and the BG needs some NR.

Agree with Dorian's comments here. It is neat to see these guys though.

Thanks...just wondering if folks can see the whole image, as I post and it looks quite large, but the actual image doesn't seem too overhwelming at least to me in terms of how much the bird is taking up, so I assume people can scroll left, right, up, down, etc. The hard thing is the bird does take up a lot of the frame, and branches and things around him seem to detract a bit.

    How about this? Any thoughts?

Here is one more, redone from the series widening it up a bit.

    7DII, 800mm, 1/1000, f 6.3.

Frame #7 is a big improvement, at least for my taste. I would consider giving a bit more room at top (possibly removing an equivalent amount at bottom), and toning down the bright areas of the perch.
