    Hi John, I think being more at eye level may havre been better as it perhaps may have hidden the yellow blob behind the antler which does draw my eye, or you could just clone it. Having a darker BKG would help the subject and create more separation I feel, but see what others think. Nice detail and I like the HA.

    I like the composition and the colours. The details in the coat are excellent, I agree the background would serve to enhance the buck's presence if it was a little less bright, I also think this would help minimise the small amount of noise there too.
    I wonder if you have another one up your sleeve where you have got his attention?
