    I have not been able to ID the moth I am sorry to say so if anyone knows the ID I would be grateful to hear from you.

    A sharp image well composed. Love the details. Lichens on tree trunk adds to the image.

    Don't know what it is. But a nice frame of this moth overall. Like the lichen and the framing.

    Glad you liked it, the moth was trapped in a moth trap overnight, then carefully transferred to the tree trunk using a leaf rather like using a spoon. It was a case of gently does it, sometimes it worked other times they flew off immediately before even getting close to the tree!
