Yesterday I returned to the shore in my hometown, and got set up in amongst the rocks at low tide, hoping to get some more shots of Curlews. Same as the last time, Curlews would come into land then take off immediately, obviously seeing me. I saw this one, coming in when the sun was low in the sky. I managed to lock focus, just as he landed, and got three shots off. I wished he had come in at a better angle, with the sun directly behind me, and, his head was lifted a little, so the bill was more prominent...But hey, even getting this close to these birds I was more than happy. This is almost full frame, with slight crop for comp. I'll be back.
