The only Woodies that stay in my pond in the summer are the first year ducks.
Taken this morning, the first year Woodies are coming into their own.

Outstanding flight capture, Dan. Beautiful light, and detail on all the feathers. Especially like the light brown primary feathers transitioning into the blue and purple feathers. Nice wing and tail extension. Well done.

Wow. This bird really showed its colors. Just enough bank to show wingtip to wingtip, great head angle, and enough light to see it all. Beautiful duck, great work!

You certainly have these ducks at your pond trained nicely! Lovely shot.

Just beautiful Dan, I like as presented but also a 4:3 format may look good.

    Wow! Fantastic flight shot.
My only thought would be to take some off the RHS. Well done,
    Gail

Oh boy Dan, you nailed that one! The only thing that could have made this better is for an even steeper banking angle towards us, but who is to complain about what you got here!

Looks great. Love that dorsal view and the slight head turn towards you.
