Here's another from Joe Overstreet Road in March. Taken from car window.

    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 1600, 1/2500s @ f/6.3 manual.

ps. Some may not like fenceposts. I don't mind this, since this species favors them.

What a beautiful portrait of this meadowlark.
Perfect singing pose, IQ rocks and I even like the perch.

What a beauty idyllic pose lovely perch clear background. I like it as it is, if it were mine - and boy do I wish it was, I would experiment back at raw stage and drop the luminance on the yellows by around -6 to -8 and just possibly lift the blacks a tiny wee bit.

Hey Bill, I know this pose well. Nice that your found a really weathered fence post, some are quite new. Beautiful bird, nicely shown, perfect Joe Overstreet background. Thank you for sharing.

Classic Meadowlark pose captured beautifully, Bill. Love the calling pose and those gigantic feet. Like the perch as well.

A classic well done. Like the calling pose of course and that background is killer.
