    I took many shots of this Black-shouldered Kite, but waited for it to call out.
    7Dii, 100-400ii@400mm, 1/1000th sec, f7.1, iso640, manual mode HH. Cheers.

    love the pose and the open beak, they look like our white-tailed kites, the image is very noisy, was this underexposed? looks like you applied sharpening to the BG which has made it grainy, the bird itself is quite noisy too. unless the exposure was pulled or it is a huge crop I would have not expected so much noise at such low ISO

    Yes, he does have an angry look. Love the red eye. Repost with de-noised BG is much better.

    Love that eye. The repost is alot better in terms of image quality. Like the composition.

    Nice shot Paul. I am curious if you cropped much, too; the repost is a big improvement but I wonder if there was some after-zoom. Thanks for sharing!
