Ringed plover (Charadrius hiaticula) and Dunlin (Calidris alpina)
Taken at Hoylake beach at high tide today. Unfortunately the vegetation is now golden coloured, the local council in their infinite wisdom have been spreading weedkiller all along this stretch of beach.
The dunlin was coming in to land and the ringed plover sensed the impending arrival and began to crouch.
Lying prone on the beach, hand held

Nice view of the plover and the dunlin. Like the composition and the dunlin about to land. The setting is what it is. But this is what you had to work with.
Hi Jon...Nice getting both waders together. It looks like your focus point was on the Plover, the Dunlin is a wee bit softer. Just wondering, if possible, you could maybe sharpen the Dunlin a tad more. I don't mind the colours of the grasses. I like the POV. Something different for sure.
