Lovely head angle and preening pose. I'd love to hear what folks think of the placement of the subject.

Thank you Artie.
Intentionally cropped to have the bird off center.
I could have cropped it either way ( Bird center / off center)
Love to hear various opinions on the same.

i like the pose and crop, both work well from my perspective, exposure good perhaps the crown of the head is a little jet black. the visible yellow bill tip is a big plus.

Beautiful capture, Krishna. This crop and placement of the Tern works nicely for me because of the direction of the head tilt. This is a Tern I don't think I've seen, and this position gives us a look at the yellow tipped beak and some black crest feathers. I like the sand which softens in the background, and a hint of the blue sky starts. Well done.

Great shot Krishna. The exposure is perfect and I love the pose and your choice of composition. It works well IMO. I also like the hint of blue at the top. I can see a blue-purple cast to the sand. Is it natural?

Nice preening pose, you could crop this about anyway you want. Yours look fine...

Nice and sharp with a good pose. I would like the bird on the right so it is looking into the frame.

I love the soft look to the sand. Interesting pose here. Good low angle. The placement of the subject feels comfortable to me, but I could see a few different versions working well as well, even as a vertical too with more above to include that blue strip.
