    Default Greater Shearwater

Photographed on a pelagic trip last weekend just as the fog was about to lift.

Very nice capture Axel- not easy from a boat with a 500 x 1.4 fitted! Super aspects of the image for me are the splash and the reflection. The bird is pretty nice too, it's even got "head angle".

I really like the reflection. The picture as a whole looks a bit blue to me, but that could be my work monitor. I have never seen one of these birds, I like all the side detail you got, the shape of the bill, the subtle coloring under the wing.

Oh my god, this is really sweet Axel. The calm water, the splash, the eye contact, wing position and that very nice reflection. Very nice all around (I like the crop too). I see some cyan or blue cast but I am not sure because it is very subtle

Love the way the bird is taking off towards the viewer. And I like the crop too! Good job with exposure compensation.

Not only was the fog about to lift, so was the bird! Positives well noted above. Ii would wish only for a more pleasing near-wing position.
