    Hand held at my garden pond, this is the female, the male is blue in colouration. She is ovipositing on the moss laden sandstone.

    Nice and sharp with good detail on the dragonfly. Not a fan of the vegetation on the left. Background is nice.

    Nice behavioral image of ovipositing. Good details on the dragonfly. I initially thought the vegetation was a distraction, but after looking at it a few times, I think it helps fame the dragonfly.

    Thanks John and Ravi, I appreciate you comments and feedback, the original image is 4:3 format I made this 3:2. i see where you are coming from but I kind of liked the grass and the knapweed plant, I thought it was a little bit of environment that added, equally I ensured to include the four moss stems on the RHS.
