I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. When the water level is low the remaining pools attract wading birds. The conditions are perfect for the way they feed and the middle of the small ponds are accessible rather than just the edges. Hi Joe,

A beautiful capture. Love the angle of flight, full wing stretch, and fanned tail. Nice detail.

Enjoyable wing and flight position. The environment and exposure work well together. I like the way the black legs stand out.

Love the out streached diaganol pose. Fanned tail is nice as well. Nice and sharp.

Beautiful underwing and detail - and fun dangling feet - but the background is way too busy, particularly around the bird's head which is what matters most. Everything else is secondary to that.

Hey Dorian, I am beginning to not like your name looking at our coming weather in Florida. Regarding the image, I agree with you. I wish the background did not have the vegetation. But this is a natural environment, so I left it as is. The type of image is just not conducive to a pure background. Thank you for viewing and commenting.
