    The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo flying off after a feed of salty sea lettuce.
    1DXII 600mm F/4L III HH
    1/4000 f7.1 iso800
    Cropped, lowered exposure on whites.
    H&S to remove blue cast from shadows on the bird and de-saturate blue BG.
    NR on BG, slight sharpen on the bird.
    It's definitely smiling at me!

    Nice smiling flight shot, with great wing position. Is the yellow inside the far wing natural, or is it somehow a result of desaturating the blue shadows?

    Beautiful exposure and detail, in both shots. I prefer the first with front-thrown wings, and I agree with Arash that the bird needs more space all around but particularly below and in front.
