Very lovely. If only the rear chick had been parallel to the adult ... The chicks, and the image, are gorgeous. What was the date?

Thanks Bill. East colony or west? Do you remember exactly where? If yes, I'd like to know. In very faint sun?

Artie, it was the East colony, with my back more or less toward the setting sun. Walking from the direction of the parking lot, this spot was perhaps 1/3 to 1/2 of the way along the rope line, before it turns the corner to run parallel to the shore. Yes, it was faint sun. Five minutes later the sun got a little stronger and stayed that way until it got darker just before 8:00 pm.

Thanks, Bill. When I was there last week there were zero birds along the western edge of the east colony ...
