Just had this old song from .... Donna Summer in mind ... when i went through old folders from 2017 . Well the seal love is quite rough for our human thinking ......specially from the males side .
Found this couple on the more open beach of Helgoland ...
The blood is coming from the fights, that the male was involved to get this lady on its own .
Looks somehow brutal ... but thats how it goes in nature at times.

    Canon EOS 1DxII
    EF 500 IS L II
    Tripod

F 6,3 ; Iso 6400 ; 1/1000 ; auto Iso and man exp ; SS is quite low for my circumstances .... thought i get along with it at that time .

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2019 ; slight cropped for composition to a 16/10 pano .

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting .

    Cheers Andreas

It looks sharp enough to me Andreas, something that size can't move very far in 1/1000sec I don't think! I guess it was a dull drab day and I am sure the colours are realistic, just for interest I downloaded and added vibrance layer set at 20, I think it gave the image a little boost... but I accept that may not what you wanted to portray.

Thanks John for your comment .... indeed a dull drab day . No need of more color from my side . But for sure one can boost something if needed as a personal pref .

    Cheers Andreas

Great title for this one. The detail looks great. Looks plenty sharp to me. Nice low angle with good framing.

Nice title Andreas! The content is perfect of it, love the interaction, the pose and the low angle. The DOF is good and techs adequate. Nice PP work.

Hi Andreas -- Nice moment and again I liked the IQ and details, they make the image for me. Framing works as presented . I might add some punch to the image, a slight curve adjustment as it appears a bit flat to me , and hence my question, was it misty ? You certainly mentioned a dull drab day but some punch wont harm i guess , matter of taste I guess.

    TFS !
