    This is the last i the series. The adult is fully emerged and the wings have unfolded. Shortly after she opened her wings, and made sure they were thoroughly dried before flying off. If you look carefully (I have enhanced the abdominal and thoracic areas slightly), you can make out the tracheal system.

    Looks great. Details look nice and the diffused light really helped this one come out. Maybe a touch more at the bottom and top. Really kinda looks like the green darners over here.

    John I agree a bit tight, aesthetically,this was deliberate in order to demonstrate the tracheal system.

    Great image capping the series. Love the details on abdomen and thorax and wings. I like the story in 3 parts. I have seen the process once, but pretty amazing.
