    Default European Bison sparring

    Attached Images Attached Images

Hi folks .... staying in Europe with this posting .
These two bulls were sparring ...friendly .... not really fighting .
Image taken in Kraansvlak in the Netherlands , under dull lighting conditions in rainy weather . ( slightly drizzling )
Hope you like it , had to go tight in as some other parts of other animals has been in the frame . Though crop could have been better .... but no other choice in this case . Shot taken on a slope ....

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
    Ef 500 IS L II
    HH

    F 7,1 ; Iso 12800 ; 1/2000 sec ; man exp and Auto Iso

Image processed with DPP and PSCC 2019 ; cropped for comp to 80 % of FF

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting .

    Cheers Andreas

Gee whizz Andreas, that is pretty darned good, noise is beautifully controlled colours and tones are just out of this world. I also like the suspended dust particles. All you needed was a little water vapour coming from the nostrils!!

Hi Andreas -- I agree with Jon reg the control of noise. You have a very nice image with good details inspite of such high iso, had the lighting conditions been better you could have extracted some more finer details and more sharpness but that is what wildlife photography is all abt. The choice of framing works with options in hand as per your intro, the tight frame takes viewers eye directly on the altercation.

I really enjoyed viewing this work , some really good work on and off the field.

    TFS !

Thanks Jon and Haseeb for your comments , much appreciated .

Jon - agree the water is missing , but as it was a fun sparring they have not been that excited , i think that could be a reason . And it was going on .... just very briefly .

Haseeb for sure better light would have been better .... but i am MORE than happy with the extracted details under these conditions .

    Cheers Andreas

Really like the interaction. That eye on the right bison is great. Nice to see a little dirt flying up. Image quality looks great for the high ISO.
