    Default Ruddy Turnstone

Another one from Nickerson. Gonna be this way for the next week since Nickerson is easy shooting and the feedback I get is really helpful.

Also got soaked getting this frame.....

Canon 600mm f/4 IS II on EOS 1DX2
    1/4000 at f/5.6, ISO 640
Processed in LR CC without trickery

*crop a bit heavier than usual but I couldn't say no to the buttery blue.....

Lovely colors with whites and blacks just right. Yes BG is sweet. It might be en illusion but could it do with a touch of ccw rotation?

    Dorian:

Great shooting angle, food item, colors of bird and background. Well exposed. Rotation appears ok to me.
The image is so clean, that I might be tempted to remove a few of the spots in the water.

    Cheers

Man, that is beau-t-ful. Worth getting wet for that one! Everything is superb. I would probably take care of a couple background spots, too, but this is fantastic. Congrats!

    What a lovely frame.
Only way to improve this is to clone out a few of the spots in the BG to theleft of turnstone but still great as presented.
Love the light and the low POV.

Beautiful low POV Dorian! Love the light and the colors. Agree with the others on the cloning but I still like it as presented. Beaches aren't always clean so the spots don't bother me at all.

Very Nicely done. I like you low point of view which renders the background very well.

Light on the subject is also beautiful.

This is really excellent with respect to color, light, action and setting. Love the beautiful soft blues in the water and the diffuse reflection.

My type of shorebird image with that low angle! Those blues look great. Nice and sharp, with an interesting food item.

Perfect low perspective, perfect subject-to-film plane orientation, perfect sand crab, perfect image design, and perfect timing. Not easy anywhere.
