I think you did a good job of processing this considering the flat light. I like the pose and the fluffy white plumage. The contrast of the orange feet against the whole image is quite pleasing. I suppose I would like to see this perhaps 1/2 stop brighter To bring out some of the black plumage detail
Nice rocky look at this guy, Jon. The lighting was really tough, so this shot was limited from the outset. I think you've done as well as you can hope on exposure/detail. The upper part of the frame does feel a bit vacuous, and I can see some
sort of processing artifact/shadow along the bird's neck and back. Probably worth cleaning it up.
Thanks for the feedback, Dorian I didn't spot what you referred to at first but now I know what you mean. I think it is the mask used at raw stage, thanks I will remember for future posts - easily fixed. It's irritating me now so here's a repost
