I captured this image last year at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. The legs and lower body of the duck were covered by the tall grass so I opted for a portrait. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing,

I love the colours and sharpness. Good comp. The BG is prominent, but not in a bad sense. The blade of grass touching the bill tip, though, is unfortunate IMO.

Exposure, color, and sharpness are excellent, but there isn't enough separation from the vegetation behind the subject for me. I think f/8 hurt more than helped here. f/5.6 would have helped smooth things out a bit.

Nice and sharp, I would clean up and smooth out the BG more if it were mine.
