    Default Great Egret.

It's now shorebird season, so I was laying flat on the ground for them. After a while I looked to my right and low and behold four Great Egrets had made their way very close. These guys are easily spooked up here, so any time you get close enough for good images it's a bonus. This also shows how staying low gets many birds much more comfortable as you become part of the scenery to them. This is full-frame as I had turned the camera over to fit it in (plus the tall elegant pose is perfect for verticals anyhow)

A very elegant frame of this alert heron. Love the raised foot and tiny water drop. Lovely layered BG.

Love the pose with the foot raised. The overall softness of the image . Nice soft colors in the background TFS Daniel.

Soft pastel tones make for a very pleasing image, Daniel. Raised foot adds a nice suggestion of action to this elegant frame. Very nicely done.

Very pleasing color tones throughout the image. Excellent exposure I like the subtlety of the point of view in that the water just blends in with the sky.

Love this very simple and clean image. The raised foot is a nice touch. Great how the water melts into the background.
