Some off you might remember I posted a feeding Red-necked Phalarope a few months back. This is the same bird but standing on a small stone when the setting sun got covered by some clouds which provided this soft light. I liked this frame because of the background and the somewhat unusual standing-pose from the bird.
All comments and suggestions appreciated!

A beautiful image, I like the pose and composition. Given the lighting conditions you describe the image appears a little bright to my eye, having said that a very striking image.
(Just for curiosity I applied a levels layer and moved the gamma slightly to the right.)
This is beautiful Ivan.
Love the still water, the low POV and that wonderful BG.
Love, love the little toe sticking out of the water.
I agree with Jonathan that reducing the brightness slightly would look good.
I also think a bit off the bottom would look nice as well.
A beautiful frame so well done!

What a spectacularly plump Phalarope, in a great standing pose. Very nice POV, gorgeous BG. Yes to just a tiny bit less brightness. Congratulations on a lovely frame.
As a big shorebird aficionado, I like this a lot, Ivan. Fluffy feathers are cool and the details are excellent across the bird. Head angle is perfect, and I like the composition as is. I might bump the blacks a bit to add a touch of contrast. Or just turn the lights down a bit, your choice.
Beautiful pose, detail, color and composition. The background has just enough texture to really make this interesting. Good job in the water and point of view
This is awesome. Great pose, setting, background, soft light, etc. Agree with some of the above suggestions. I love these birds and would love to photograph one. The bit of color in the neck adds a lot. TFS
