Well it's the 'Glorious 12th', the day when the shooting season starts and what these wee birds were breed for, along with others like Pheasant.
A very 'pedestrian' POV and sadly it would have been nice if it was set in a sea of purple heather, but sadly the heather was out last week, but not the Grouse, all probably hunkering down before todays big push.

I'm now heading off to another remote part of the world, a bit colder than current temperatures, so apologies in not responding if anyone is kind enough to leave a comment, back in the early part of September - hopefully.
