Arctic tern against field of buttercups. A "different" wing position.
Nothing added or cloned. I did desaturate the yellows.

I like this different wing position but the tilted head wins the prize here for me. I like the behavior you captured, rthe lovely field of buttercups delivered a gorgeous BG to contrast this lovely tern. Tops!

I love it! The wing position really does look pretty cool in this particular instance. I realize many will prefer a fuller pose to those, but it works for me here. Super nice BG, and of course the head turn towards us is more than you could have hoped for! I'm wondering if having the subject a bit further back in the frame would work well (or more room in front). Terrific overall!

I had a feeling that the wing position would not be to everyone's taste so here is the next frame.

I like both. The WHITEs in Pane #5 look a lot brighter than those in the OP. But that might be an illusion ...I like both head angles and te fact that the grey breast is well soon.

Both are great, but I prefer the first with the big head turn, as if to say "what's that over there?" Background is excellent.

I really like both versions. I like the tail of the first one better but the wing position is slightly more pleasing imo. Love the BG in both. Nicely done Gail!

Love the head turn and the BG. Not a big fan of the wing position in either one...

Hi Gail. I prefer the first one...love that HA. The whites seem a little hot on the tail area though and the breast area seems a little noisy to me (in both images).
