I was shooting the terns in flight (hence the settings when I saw this chick near the shoreline begging for food. Both the chick and I would have really liked a fish to have been present here!

Ideally I would have been able to get a bit higher but as I crawled towards the pair, the chick turned away slightly and the behaviour wasn't repeated

Looking good Mike....Beautiful detail and light. Lovely interaction. Its a pity about the shoreline being a wee bit too high, but nice as is. Love the BG.

Like the interaction and the overall beach setting. Wish you were just a little higher to get a better view of the birds.

Hi Mike, its lovely, terrific interaction, nice exposure and nice to see the slight breaking wave to add texture to the BG.

Higher would have been better but excellent iQ and interaction.

I have to agree with your self critique that higher would have been better.
Love the interaction and the IQ.
For my taste, I think you have too much space on top and would crop down to a tight pano.
