    Default Green lacewings

    I made this image on my Front porch selectively focusing on the Head.

    Camera Settings:-
    ===============
    Nikon D500, Sigma 150 f/2.8 Macro
    1/2000 sec; f/5.6; ISO 500
    Manual; Matrix metering

    I took some images at f/13 but I like the image which were taken at f/5.6

    Post Processing:-
    ===============
    Raw Processing using C1P
    2x3 Crop
    Nik 25-25 Filter at reduced opacity
    Tonal Adjustments in Viveza
    Sharpening for Presentation
    Burn and Dodge selectively
    Cloned some out of focus elements in the fore ground.

    Let me know your thoughts and comments.

    Thanks
    Krishna

    Krishna, I looked at this image for some time, and I have decided I like the relatively shallow DOF. I must admit my first reaction was the DOF was too shallow but the more I look the more I like it. The cloning you did does not look apparent to me.

    Focus is right where it should be with the limited depth of field. Vertical framing looks nice.

    Like the selective focus and whatever the wing detail it offers. Vertical composition also works well.
