Hi Andreas -- As for the heat haze experience I too had a similar one with a Tiger going for a low pov but realised afterwards how badly heat haze has affected the image, though it was slightly better but the one with the wild dogs back in India turned out to be horrendous. Now I try to get as close as possible to overcome the heat haze.
Coming to the image, I really liked the details and the nice clean bkg which is enhancing this image. Lighitng seems harsh but you have done exceedingly well both on and off the field to achieve this nice portrait. Its so easy to blow the whites in such lighting but no problem here.
nicely done.

Really like this portrait. Nice detail and the framing is right on. The light looks light it wasn't ideal but you handled it well.

Hello Andreas,
Neat portrait of this bokkie and good framing, background is great. I especially like the detail on the horns. Before I read your intro I was thinking perhaps you captured this in Etosha... must be the light
Such a pity about the heat haze, I too have deleted many images for this reason in the past. Nevertheless I am sure you brought home lots of wonderful images, so let us see some more!
Thank you so much for sharing,
Kind regards,

Hi Gabriela thanks for your comment .... much appreciated .
Never had it that badly with the heat haze ... but no wonder normally never went that low from the shooting angle POV in africa around late morning / early afternoon .
Cheers Andreas
