Another one from St. James's Park in London. The birds are very tame and allow people to go right up to them. Unfortunately, the downside of this behavior is that it encourages people to feed them all kinds of junk - from chocolate to ice-cream (!).

This bird was under some shade and I didn't have a whole lot of light to work with. In PP, I did some clean-up work on the bill, cloned out some distracting highlights on the LHS and applied NR to the BG.

    Camera - Nikon D850
    Focal Length - 420mm
    Aperture - f/5.6
    Shutter Speed - 1/640s
    ISO - 2500
    Handheld
    Manual
    Crop - 60% appx.

The bird wasn't baited or attracted by call playback, but it was very tame as mentioned earlier. Thanks for viewing and, as always, comments and critiques are appreciated

    Adi

The plumage texture and patterns along with your reflection in its eye really make this work for me.

Nice solid portrait of this graylag. Like the composition and the detail. There are a couple of these down at the lake where i live.

Hi Adi, looks just about perfect to me. Lovely colors and feather detail. As John wrote, there are a couple at a lake near my home. Thank you for sharing.
