    I love this one!
The spiderweb, the bent tail, the good perch that "cuddles" the WP and nice HA make for a very compelling image.
BG is really nice. If I had one wish it would be that the blue on the left was the same green color but that is truly nitpicky.
    A very nice image!

Great cobweb in the crook of the tree. Also, nice pose of the pileated. I'd try a bit of hidden nuts/suet and see if you have a dinner guest...

Great shot Dan! Agree with Gail and Ann. Lots of things to like in this image - nice HA, cobweb, and clean BG. I wish there was a bit of separation between the tree and the beak though. The Reds on the bird's head are blown out on my screen so I'd suggest pulling back the luminance/saturation a touch. Very nice overall.

Wish the bird was a little higher to get above that branch. The spider web is very cool though. Detail on the bird looks nice.

Generally agree with others. It's a very nice image but I wish for separation between the trunk and the bird's head. Cobweb is awesome, but the crop with the bird looking into the short side of the frame is a bit funky for me. But that's more my OCD than anything else! The red does need to be turned down a bit. Hopefully that will reveal a bit more detail.

That's a really striking image, the texture in the black plumage can almost be felt. My only suggestion would be to lift the darker area on the belly and tree trunk, super image well seen and taken.

Well seen with the cobweb. Excellent color and detail. Agree about the beak separation but I like the head position.

Lot to like here, Dan. Love the pose with the tail feathers bracing, talon gripping, and the cobweb.
