    This a Red List bird, unfortunately I was unable to capture it with good view of the chestnut throat.

    Taken in Kwando concession Northern Botswana, 30th June 2005

    100-400+1.4x at 560mm
    F8, 1/320,ISO 200

    Good looking bird Ken Would love to see it with it head feathers up

    With bg like this one I normally like going wide open to minimize the dof !! A lower angle would have worked well (if possible) I like the feather reproduction very much, very sharp and nailed the exposure !!!

    Hi Ken,
    Tough one because of the things Alfred mentioned. Was it ven possible to get lower??? If not..........may have sacrificed the 1.4 to get f5.6 on the 100-400.

    Good-looking bird and pose. I agree on a lower angle. You could try to blur the BG a bit more.

    Very nice image. I agree with Axel for the BG bluring. Also it looks a bit oversaturated in my monitor.

    Sweet bird and technically well done image. The BOKEH at f/8 is wierd as per Al's comments.
