    Default Bee Beetle...

This bee beetle caught my eye still sitting on a heath spotted orchid. It still bears marks of that visit as the deep look into the (empty) orchid flowers has left it with some pollen packets stuck to the head. It then flew to a the shown flower only to try to get to the pollen packets with it's tongue.

Cool looking bee I like the bold colors of flower and bg Would suggest a little more room for the bug rear leg seems clipped

With these tight in images I am usually distracted with oof elements in foreground Might have tried getting from a different angle I do like the image an a gorgeous subject to work with !!!!

Guten Tag, Karl! Great focus and detail. I wish the shot had been made from a little higher angle to avoid some of the flower petals in front of the bee. Tough shot to get, though and you did a great job!
