Taken whilst getting more intel from the Forest guards, these birds are very tame and just flock to you looking for any tit bits. Don't be fooled by the light, this was at ISO8000.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Awesome shot Steve! Nice view of the feet and I love the intense eye. These birds always seem angry. Great processing too, considering the low light.

Lovely detail Steve...The BG shows the bird well and at f/8, that perch ain't bad either. Looking real good for ISO 8000. The facial expression is priceless.

Very nice pose on the bird and also like the wood perch. Detail looks great. Really like the eye on the bird. Background is spot on.

Looking good... the bird does look angry. Bird, perch, and background just about perfect. Wonderful how good it can be at ISO 8000. Thank you for sharing, Steve.

    I love the image.

Eye is striking. Perch and the background are excellent, so is the details on the bird.

I would had dodged the dark spots on the right side of the bird in background. (Its a minor issue I guess).

    Thanks folks for the feedback.

High ISO is never a problem if exposed correctly and with the advancements in camera technology no one should be afraid to push the boundaries'

My fear Krishna is that this then looks too clinical & sterile and therefore, lacks credibility. It's like when folk smooth out BKGs or use NR at 400 or less, it's just so wrong because everything appears false to the viewer/audience, so I try to keep as much 'as is', but appreciate the comment.
