    Default Northern Gannet

    Attached Images Attached Images

Way up on the north western edge of the Languages Peninsula in Iceland on a bone chilling day with howling winds and an occasional snow squall this past May, I captured this Gannet headed back to to a nest on a tall rock tower. C&C welcome.

This is such a moody image. I love the rough sea in the background and the snow (?). Wish for a better HA though. Overall the image seems slightly dark, although that might be the effect that you're going for.

Love the mood of this one. The snow and that dark water go great together. Could see a version with it cropped some from the top right.

Good exposure on the blacks here Geoffrey but I suspect there's more feather detail to be had from tweaking the white exposure. It must be fun shooting in that environment.

Apart from wishing the gannnet was more towards the right edge I'm really liking this one a lot, "bad" head angle and all. As others have pointed out, this has really good mood!

Agree with above Geoffrey but big fan of the snow and rough seas, kudos for shooting in that freeze!
