Default THEME: eel pouts in my beak!

This is a frame in a burst that I had not processed till today. This was taken in Iceland atop the cliffs of a puffin colony. Gail B. and I had just arrived and unfortunately for me the airport left my luggage behind. Without necessary gear, I had to stay in one spot and handhold. I changed up my target and wanted to capture fish in beaks. I tracked this puffin and was so excited that he landed right in front of me. Now I telepathically begged for a head turn parallel to my sensor: click.

Outrageous capture, Ann. What a pose you were able to get with all the eels in his beak and ultra fine detail. The exposure, light, color, and background all spot on. Your unfortunate situation paid off big time.

Great frame. Look at all those eels! Detail on the bird is killer as is the background.

To put it mildly, nothing wrong with this shot! Very dexterous aren't they managing to hold and catch at the same time.

You did quite fine despite the disadvantage you found yourself in! Awesome closeup - fun to look at all the individual catches!

P.S. At this point I'd say all those eels are pouting!

Really nice, amazing how many eels/fish they can carry. With this result what do you need a tripod for? Thank you for sharing, Ann.

This is wonderful Ann. Love the IQ and your processing is way better than on the 2017 version. Crisper and cleaner and more detail.

Sometimes just staying in one spot and letting them come to you is the best strategy, even if forced into it. Love the detail, especially of the squirmy eels. Nice job handholding the 600. Congratulations.
