Nothing like rooting for the gust of wind to blow over noisy Mr. Redshank! These birds are the alarmists of Iceland and they certainly intrude out of nowhere and are good for disturbing serenity. So it was enjoyable to have the wind stick it to em and for us to capture the balancing act.

You nailed this one Ann. I blew the whites completely on this...
I like the 2 tree tops and the great pose he gave you.
I might add a point or two of blacks to the neutrals in selective coloring to punch the image up a bit.

It's a technically and visually solid image, but for some reason I am not as excited about it than I should be, and I cannot pinpoint why. Your caption had me chuckle a bit though :-) It reminded me of the killdeer over here that alarm all the other shorebirds away!

Yes, these guys show up everywhere, to pester you for no apparent reason. I'm not sure the second treetop adds anything. I love the pose, and wonder if a vertical with one tree would be another option.

Cool image. Wish for less steep angle but like it as is. TFS

Pretty neat frame here. Like the way the bird is about to fall off the confier. Pose is very nice. Details look spot on.

Love it...The bird is unbalanced but the image is balanced. The 2 tree tops add so much to the pose on the bird. Good whites and detail, lovely HA. Nice one Ann.

Such a wonderful arboreal view, Ann! Pose and feather detail are great, and the pines add a nice splash of color to the image. I agree with Daniel that the image lacks punch, a circumstance - I think - resulting from the muted background. Had you had a either clear blue sky or an earthen/green BG, I think the bird would assert itself better.
