Default Red Kite doing the twist

This years trip to see the Red Kite at Harewood was a poor show - the birds were there, but for whatever reason, they just were not interested in doing the swoops for the bits of chicken where you get the best shots. I think I got 2 keepers on the day, this being the first of them

Pretty nice. Like the way the bird is almost evenly lit. Pose is nice as well. Don't mind the blue sky.

I'd go with 500 times better than "pretty nice." This one would rate as spectacular even on a great day. The pose is unique and I love the feet. It was great seeing you again this year.

Love everything about this pose. You handled the slightly harsh light well. TFS

Wowee Mike, breathtaking I'd say, that lone eye draws you right into the twisty swoop and tack sharp with wonderful look at underside wings. Also like the tucked talons, superior skill on this one!

You must have been doing a happy dance when you saw this on the LCD!

Oh boy this is superb! It's not often I like a plain blue sky but with such a wicked maneuver by the kite I'd say who cares this time around! Great stuff!

Well captured Mike...Love the rich colours here, and of course that lovely pose. I was at the Red Kites last week and I will be glad if I get anything as good as this, after I process them.
