Hi John, I like the peaceful feeling your image evokes. Soft colors and nice exposure on the tern, sleeping or caught him with his eye closed? TFS

I really like the image. Interesting pose, nice colors, blacks and whites look good. I wish the little hill of sand was not there so the feet would show. Thank you for sharing, John.

Lovely beach setting. Good job with the whites and the blacks. If mine I'd likely remove the sprout at left edge (I do wish it was fully in, plus some extra space). The hidden feet do not bother me. I love the crossed wing and tail feathers.

Looking good..Love the habitat of sand dunes and grasses. If anything, I would leave more room around the bird and lower the HL on the BG. Nice detail and pose and POV

Interesting pose indeed John. If mine I'd clean the beach a little, specially (as Dan suggested) the sprout at the left edge. TFS.

Nice and sharp, great feather detail. Love the background-- creamy but hints of what's back there. And nice pose.

Very nice setting. I love the little plants and agree about including the entire little plant on LHS or cropping it out.
    Image has a dreamy feel.
Nice low POV and I like the curves created by the preening head.

The soft green really does give the image a dreamy feel, but the pose/behavior presents presentation challenges. As is, the bird feel stuffed into the left hand side of the frame with little room in front of him. Lookbacks are tough that way....

Yes to the nice dreamy mood. Needs more room on our right, less on our left. It definitely needs some CCW rotation and an open eye would have helped.
