Its Puffin season again in Scotland, I captured this one on the small island of Lunga on Scotland's west coast. If you look closely under the upper bill you will see small barbs. This is what allows this beautiful bird to catch and store fish, so it can return to the chick with lots of fish from the one hunt.

Lovely pose Will, looks like you had nice flat light to keep all the available detail. I particularly like the little look back in the eye

The eye, the tongue, very nice details...
Whites and blacks look good, I think the exposure could be lowered a tad for a richer look...

Pretty neat frame. Not the usual puffin image i see on here. Nice to see those barbs as well. The bird is nice and sharp with good detail throughout.

This is great, from color to sharpeness and exposure, well executed. And a great look too.

    Great IQ. Lots of details.
I am not super crazy about the eye that ( to me) has a look of fear/surprise.
I really like the good look at the barbs in the mouth.

I like this Will for the interaction you captured. Often puffins are stoic and there is little facial features to be seen but you caught it all! Love the sharpness, the crop, and the open beak. Few water drops on the chest is nice as well.
