Nice image David. Focus falls off on the bill which doesn't bother me. Love the dark background. Could use a little more exposure. Love the details on the face and eye looks great. TFS

    Default Ole blue eyes...

Through the image title says blue eyes, I am drawn into the black beak. I have not see a black beak on these birds. I would also increase the exposure a little bit more

Hey David, one of my favorite birds to photograph. Love the eye and curved bill. I watch them on the golf course in my backyard, the bill is perfect for the way they feed. I had a go with the image in Lightroom before I commented. The image could go brighter a tad, a few other adjustments in exposure brings out more detail in the white feathers. I don't know when you captured the image but the bird is either going into or out of breeding plumage. The black on the bill and the red around the eye. Thank you for sharing.

A Florida classic. Like the pose and the crop. Agreee about the exposure. Killer background.
