    Default Buff-bellied Pipit

    Captured this image about a month ago on Flatey Island, Iceland of a Buff-bellied Pipit also know as an American Pipit, with a beak full of insects for its chicks. Since the nest was well hidden I was unable to get a count. The clutch size is 3-7 eggs. These birds have a long rear toe, which if you look closely in the shadow you'll see them. C&C welcome.

    D500, Sigma 150-600mm C @ 600mm, 1/3200s, f 9, ISO 1250, Handheld.

    Great capture,love the dark background ominous clouds goes well with the rock and lichens.Maybe a tad soft on the head or a little more exposure would help.Like the interaction showing the insects. TFS

    Nice to show the bird on the lichen covered rock. Prey in the bill is a plus. I could see some taken off the top.
