    This is another frame of the juvenile NH photographed last last year on CA coast. These harriers blend in quite well with the environment, especially the juveniles. The feathers are very soft and lack the patterns seen on the adult birds. With time the chest will become more pale, pupil will become yellow and the under wing rust will darken. This one was taken just before sunset


    shot with the D850 and 600 /4 E FL + TC-14E III. ISO 1600 f/5.6 at 1/2500 sec. hand held processed with C1P hope you like it
