    I made this image in Bear River Migratory Refuge couple of weeks back.






    Camera Settings:-
    ===============
    Nikon D500, 600 f/4 +1.4x TCIII
    1/1250 sec; f/5.6; ISO 1600
    Manual; Matrix metering






    Post Processing:-
    ===============
    Raw Processing using C1P
    Pano Crop
    Tonal Adjustments in Viveza
    Neat Image NR
    Sharpening for Presentation
    Cloning a little spot at the top left corner.

    Krishna:

    Great shooting angle, soft light and background, nice catchlight.

    In a perfect world, would prefer the body rotated a bit more parallel to the sensor plane, but the head angle helps.

    Just the right choice of a low perspective. Love the soft light. Shorebirds always do their nest distraction displays while facing away as they want to lead us away from the nest or the chicks ...

    Nice that you captured this typical behaviour. I think the light and the colors is the strongest points for me in the image. Also a nice, low shooting angle.
    I do wish the tail was sharp and that the bird was rotated a bit more towards you.
