I have not been posting lately, although I been lurking a lot. I have lots of picture to process, but not happy with the results... I have been shooting on poor light conditions and sacrificing light angles for closer looks... and shooting (attempting) lots of BIF which a small keeper rate.
Not the best light angle as mentioned above, about 60% crop, lots of branches removed, including two big ones on the right wing, and NR software.
40D, 500mm f/4, 1.4TC, 480EX flash, wimberly head
1/800, F7.1, ISO 500, 700mm, Flash to -2 or -3
Comments and recommendations welcome and appreciated,
Raul
PS: I will probably will be boring you with more shots from this species.
They are never boring Raul and I am always happy to see your posts. You are right though the lighting has not been the best these past few days but I like the determined action you captured in this image as well as excellent eye contact. Keep them coming !!!!
Hi Raul,
Agree with Axels recommendations and it appears a bit soft on my monitor also. You know what's funny..........it's the failures that drive me!
