Dan, great shot maybe a bit more room on the bottom and right, it feels a bit tight IMO. Great action, sharpness, colors and BG.

Nice work catching such a spectacular diving flight posture Dan. I like the glint in the eye but I'm wondering why the bird is so pale. Is it a processing choice on your part or ?

I'd ask for a better HA but with this pose it's perfect... Of your recent images, I like the EXP of the whites on the head here the best... Just beautiful underside details overall. TFS

I suppose a better head angle would be too much to ask for with such an otherwise wicked awesome pose! Nicely done - gotta love that BG too.

The KoowaBunga Pose ( from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)!
Whites on head look so much better than on the previous post (what happened there anyway?)
This is a very dynamic pose and I love the green BG. I really like the tight crop.

Wonderful dynamic capture. Ditto all the positive comments above. Headangle schmedangle.

    Thanks for the comments.
Bob, not sure what you mean by pale? iso6400 tends to wash out a bit but
Eagles are not really that dark in flat soft light.

Apologies for the delayed reply Dan. I had some doubt about posing the Q to you but in the end I couldn't get past how pale the bird looks-----I don't think I've ever seen an eagle when out and about and come away with a mental image of that degree of pallor. I noted no one else has mentioned it so wondered if maybe I just haven't seen enough eagles but we do have 1000's wintering here, and I see them in most kinds of light and I can't recall ever seeing one that left me with an impression of such paleness as this so I was just curious. Your eagle images of June 17 and 19 are both darker, although to varying degrees. My preference tends toward more of the darkly dramatic image but the processing mistakes I've been making have been producing images unsuitably dark so I'm feeling my way forward here a bit.
