Nice view of this otter. Really like the laid back pose. The low angle is nice as well. This might make a nice pano crop. Touch more on the right wouldn't hurt.

The pale fur looks good but I cannot help but feel there is a lot of lost detail in the dark fur, did you underexpose the image at capture??

Jonathan: I only changed the exposure in post by 0.1, so that is not the problem. I used to photograph these guys a lot, the fur when saturated has that oily look, which really masks any detail. Makes action shots difficult to present well, because the action always involves very wet fur...
John: I see what you say about the pano, but I like the color of the sand band at the top, and I might lose that.

Hi Greg -- I loved the pose and the low POV, but i find the image lack details . is this a big crop ? It also appears a bit soft to me. Not sure which equipment you used but you had enough ss and dof to get those finer details. Agree on the wet fur makes difficult to process. I might slightly loose from the the top keeping the sand band but eliminating the blacks.
