The cross lighting not to everyone's taste, but I find it often offers a different view of a bird. Couldn't get good eye contact because it was too worried about an eagle in the vicinity.

Edit: the light patches on the back are sunlight shining through a slightly open wing.

Hi Colin. Yes, the lighting is not (for me) ideal, but I actually don't mind the "shiny highlights" on the wing. However, the HA and high shooting angle are not the best. There's also a white halo around the bird.

Thanks Paul, I'll wear the halo, totally missed that, but not the shooting angle. I was level with the bird . Perhaps I should lower it in the frame?

It still feels as if I'm looking up at the bird (my early posts received the same criticism). Lowering it in the frame may help.

Re-post sans halo and lowered in the frame.

Nice to see an Australian raven. The image appears to have the same issues as you last post.

There is less halo. I still feel like I'm looking up to the bird (especially its eye), but I think it's due to the fact that the eye should be level with my eyes?

I prefer the first (minus the halo), but both versions have IQ issues that I am certain are not there on your master file.
