The cross lighting not to everyone's taste, but I find it often offers a different view of a bird. Couldn't get good eye contact because it was too worried about an eagle in the vicinity.

Hi Colin. Yes, the lighting is not (for me) ideal, but I actually don't mind the "shiny highlights" on the wing. However, the HA and high shooting angle are not the best. There's also a white halo around the bird.
There is less halo. I still feel like I'm looking up to the bird (especially its eye), but I think it's due to the fact that the eye should be level with my eyes?
