    This little green heron was in my pond feeding on minnows with mom teaching him how to fish last year. They start showing up around the first of August. It was shot right at dusk.

    Good catch, alittle tight in front, Great detail int he feathers and love the spiky do :)
    I'd probably blur the far BG some.

    Hi Dennis,

    I would like to see this image in horizontal as it will eliminate the top and will add room in from of the bird.

    I like Maxis 's suggestion of a horizontal for the reasons he mentioned. Excellent detail and a great catch for the little green !!! thanks for sharing Dennis.

    Very cute, the little heron looks really proud. :) I agree that it is a bit tight in the frame and would blur the BG. Keep them coming!

    I won't beat a dead horse on the crop..........but as Fabs mentioned............the spiked do is great as well as the fish.

    Yes to wider or HORZ. Love them at this stage. The bird's head is angled ever so slightly away from you.
